This came as a surprise to her.
Although his actions lately had become pretty amiable and were being
consciously overlooked by her but somehow today his words were not at all
ignorable. The demarcating line between ‘friendship’ and ‘love’ is too narrow and
probably he crossed it all by himself. Bewildered she could only manage to say
“but” and a long silence followed.
